This project was created thanks to the cooperation between entities present in the social entrepreneurship coworking of Diputación de Málaga. The entities were the Asociación Juvenil Almenaras, Food Training y Jarrón Club. This project addressed the growing problem in Europe of the development of unhealthy eating and physical activity behaviours among young people. Some of the reasons for these behaviours are: The ability of young people to decide what, how, where and when to eat, the growing cult of the body, the massive offer of products, massive advertising , passive leisure, etc. This project aims to reach young Europeans through youth workers and educators through a training course. Main needs: - Lack of practical, theoretical knowledge and skills on the basics of healthy eating and nutrition to youth workers and youth organisations. - Lack of training of youth workers to acquire skills and competencies in nutrition, creation of healthy dishes and food science. - Lack of empowerment of NGOs and other institutions with practical and theoretical elements on healthy eating, physical activity and healthy living culture. - Lack of knowledge and experience of entities working with young people in disseminating, promoting and exploiting knowledge and information on healthy eating and healthy living practices among their users. The main objectives were: - To educate 22 youth workers from 11 different countries in Europe on how they can plan workshops, activities and actions with young people to promote healthy lifestyles based on correct nutrition, good eating habits and the inclusion of physical activities. - To improve the capacity of partner organisations to create projects on these topics by providing tools that our professionals are already using and teaching them how to use them with young people, while promoting a new network of partnerships to develop new initiatives.
