After two long years of pandemic, which forced us to suspend all kinds of international activities in our Centre, we have finally managed to resume our European projects and offer our users an unforgettable and enriching experience of International Youth Exchange in Italy. By carrying out this project, it has been achieved that people with intellectual diversity can fully enjoy the same opportunities, dreams and aspirations as the rest of people without diversity. The road to real inclusion is achieved step by step, with small actions that have an incredible impact on our people. A small achievement in appearance is a great challenge and a huge achievement for a person with diversity, who has to triple his or her efforts to achieve what he or she wants, when the same person, without diversity, would have it at his or her fingertips without great difficulty. This is intensified if we talk about young people with diversity with great support needs, for whom the options for learning, interrelation and enjoyment are even more limited, and the resources available in our organisations are really limited to be able to offer them the right to have the same opportunities as the rest of the girls and boys. For this reason, the objective of TEATRICARTE has been to provide our girls and boys with intellectual diversity with the opportunity to share an international youth exchange experience that has been undoubtedly extremely enriching for them, allowing them to use theatre and the arts as a means of communication, without physical, intellectual, sensory or linguistic limits, thus helping them to make their dreams come true, as other girls and boys of their age can do.
