Objectives

Young people encounter difficulties in the transition from education to labor market. While theoretical knowledge about the labor market can be gained at schools and formal institutions, the youth workers are there to develop their sense of active approach of new generations of youth towards entrepreneurship and to help them to face challenges and surmount the difficulties. Today, as the world struggles with problems including poverty, violence, climate change, health, and more, social entrepreneurship is raising in popularity and gaining more importance, and we need social entrepreneurs to help us find new avenues toward social improvement as we enter the next century. TC Let`s Empower Youth Entrepreneurial Potential aims at exploring the concept of social entrepreneurship as an innovative way to solve social problems in youth work using entrepreneurial skills. Social entrepreneurship is an alternative way of civic engagement and participation, as it offers a chance to enter the public sphere and the labor market, at the same time it is an attempt to give an appropriate answer to the important issue of youth unemployment. The researches show that there is a high percentage of unemployment of young people in some EU member countries and especially in EaP countries. We believe that one of the possible answers to the present issue of employability is to promote social engagement through social entrepreneurship, giving the proper tools of self-development and self-realization. Developing communication and social skills, improving sense of initiative and entrepreneurship and introducing social entrepreneurship will enable participants and their organizations to increase the chances of youth to enter labor market. The TC intends to focus on the concept of the social entrepreneurship in general with specific attention on entrepreneurial skills, leadership and management, need and problem analysis and funding and financing. Those topics will be explored in the context of youth organizations and volunteering, will be discussed the present conditions in each participant country and the best practices. The project is designed to motivate the participants and give them tools to become entrepreneurs working towards social good. The aim of the training is to empower and equip young leaders and youth workers with intercultural communication, diversity management and conflict resolution skills on personal, interpersonal and organizational level to contribute to the culture of peace and cooperation. Learning to learn: the participants learning experience will be supported by tools and methodologies on how to learn and acquire hard and soft skills to perform better in their personal and professional environment. The project intends to bring participants from promoter organizations who are planning to create social enterprises, it provides the opportunity for partners from different countries to meet, exchange experiences, ideas and plan future cooperation regarding developing social enterprises for more sustainable growth. Once the TC is finished the participants will bring newly gained knowledge and ideas back to their organizations. This action will help to improve the communication with the partners by making sure they are responsibly preparing to disseminate the project's outcomes. Social and civic competences: this specific project aims to raise sense of responsibility and solidarity towards social groups of our societies that are in needs. The participants are expected to develop skills for inclusion and skills to deal with people from various social and cultural backgrounds.
