The main objectives of the project have been related to gamification, which has been worked on from two points of view. 1) To acquire basic knowledge related to gamification and how to implement it, from a theoretical and practical point of view. The participants have been able to learn what gamification is, guidelines when implementing it, the difference between gamification and playing, general tools and, in general, they have been able to check the effectiveness of learning through the application of playful or entertainment-related elements. 2) Enjoying a learning experience through gamification During the project, there have been many learning activities related to different topics, but with a common axis: they were sessions with gamification type learning. In this way, participants have been able to: - Underpin objective number 1, through the implementation and first-hand experience of numerous tools and techniques related to gamification. - Develop learning related to the multiple themes on which the sessions have been developed. - Raise awareness of the importance of using innovative methodologies in educational processes (in the broad sense of the concept, not only educational centres and regulated studies, but any type of learning in general). Gamification being one of these methodologies (not the only one). In addition, the project has had a series of transversal objectives: - To get to know the regional and national environment and culture of the place where the project takes place (Sierra Oeste de Madrid, Spain). - Cultural exchange and getting to know the other cultures, with emphasis on aspects related to typical games of the country. - Establish human and interpersonal bonds. - Develop transversal skills such as public speaking, speaking other languages (especially English), coexisting and adapting to other people, time management, leadership, etc.
