Rural Circus Lab III is the third edition of an initiative born from the growing links between the different organizations that are associated in the project, resulting in a youth exchange that took place in September 2021 in the region of Monegros. The activities have been carried out as planned in the ARTmosfera artistic complex and during 10 days 24 young people from Germany, Italy, France and Spain have participated, using the performing arts, in particular the circus, as a common thread and transversal theme. The main objective of this project has been to develop values of respect, equality, tolerance and also to generate a cultural impact in the region of Monegros through activities related to the performing arts. The project is aimed at young people with an interest in the performing arts belonging to organizations from different countries. Through the different circus disciplines, not only physical fitness and attention span are developed, but also creativity and various social skills such as communication, empathy and cooperation. The activities were based on non-formal education methods, in a continuous, horizontal and non-directed process. The main activities consisted of introductory workshops in different circus disciplines; Aerial, Juggling, Theater, Balancing and Staging, as well as debates and talks about the reality of the performing arts in each of the countries of origin of the participants. Rural Circus Lab after being awarded the Marcelino Órbes prize for the best initiative for the promotion of circus in Aragon at the Aragonese circus festival held in Zaragoza in November 2019, has sought in this third edition to perfect the proposal by applying a better organization in terms of dynamics and workshops.
