We wanted to act on two facts: the need of caring for the planet among the young population, and the need of changing the trend of depopulation of rural areas, which in the absence of opportunities the young population abandons in search of new opportunities. For this we propose that training course that taught us to carry out practices that reduce our carbon footprint using the wisdom of the inhabitants of rural areas and their natural resources. We learnt how to compost our organic waste, how to make cleaning products with natural products, how to get our own seeds, how to make recycled paper, BeeWraps (to replace plastic wraps with "cloths" made from fabrics and beeswax). Our aim was also to recover knowledge that teaches us to live in harmony with nature instead of against it, giving value to life in the villages among young people. We wanted to train youth workers so that they can be speakers of this knowledge, using them in their organizations of origin. Goals - Support changing the trend of devaluation of rural areas by young people who inhabit it. - Increase among young people and youth workers the need to educate in caring for the planet. - Provide tools for the empowerment of young people in their rural areas, supporting their possibilities as active citizenship in their rural territories.
