Our entity has extensive experience in working with Children and Youth at the local level and we see in the Erasmus + call an opportunity to continue expanding the work with them and them in the 16-18 years age range and in the field of European projects. . We will also be able to continue contributing to the educational processes that we accompany in our groups, projects and services that start at 4 years old. This exchange comes to reinforce the line of work in the dimension of European projects aimed at young people from Portugalete in our entity and thus give continuity to the European projects previously successfully directed: - Youth exchange "YOUTH EXCHANGE PORTUGALETE –NORTHERN IRELAND 2018" ID: KA105-8ECF889F within the Call for Mobility of people for learning reasons (KA1) KA105 - Youth mobility. Developed from April 1 to September 30, 2018 together with Holywood Family Trust (Belfast). An exchange between 14 young people from Portugalete and 14 from Belfast accompanied by 2 leaders from each entity. Youth exchange "BISCAY & NORMANDY YOUTH EXCHANGE 2019" ID: KA105-61BDE500 within the Call for Mobility of people for learning reasons (KA1) KA105 - Youth mobility. Developed from May 1 to October 30, 2019 (still in the evaluation phase) together with Anim Jeunes (Ouistreham). An exchange between 14 young people from Portugalete and 14 from Ouistreham (France) accompanied by 2 leaders from each entity. - Accompaniment to several young people within the Solidarity Project "GAZTE2EUROPE" ID:ESC31-E84131D2 within the Call for solidarity projects of the EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS. This group of young people is responsible for bringing the opportunity that ESC represents to the young people of the municipality. Many of the participants also took part in the 2018 exchange This exchange, the project being extended for more than 2 years due to the pandemic, has meant a return to activity in European exchange programs for the entity. It has offered young people between 16 and 18 years of age from Portugalete and Belfas an opportunity to live together, learn about the opportunities offered by the European Union to this age group and exchange opinions, ideas,... regarding social participation and Democracy as a tool for change. These are the objectives that have been covered with the project: - Promote knowledge of the countries of the European Union through the relationship between young people of different origins. - Encourage the practice of other languages. - Share experiences around shared problems between the young people of the 2 countries, specifically conflict resolution and citizen participation. - Enable the exchange of ideas on other topics of common interest with other young people from other countries. - Promote knowledge of Euskadi and our culture, ways of life, customs, etc... In relation to the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme, the general lines of the project have addressed the following issues: * encourage youth empowerment and critical thinking, * promoting European citizenship and the opportunities it offers * discuss key issues for this age group and exchange experiences in this regard. Especially in conflict resolution and citizen participation All this from the leading role and active participation of the young people who have participated in setting up the programming, following the activities and evaluating from the beginning to the end of it and taking into account that both groups of young people have their own experiences and specific aspirations in their personal and critical development. In summary we can say that we want to respond to: - the need for people to have spaces, proposals,... that allow them to develop their interests and concerns. - The desire to get to know other countries, cultures and realities and to introduce them to the reality of a cohesive, real, accessible and, above all, resource-generating Europe. - the opportunity to rescue their interests and key issues and establish spaces, dynamics, moments,... to be able to work on them in a group, compare opinions, learn to debate, defend ideas and work on the two keys: personal and group. Growing individually and seeing the potential of group and team work and resuming the activity and proposals aimed at them centrally after the pandemic.
