Objectives

The E-Inclusion project was set up as a European learning mobility partnership, aiming to support mainly youth workers through the improvement of their digital competences. Through this project, the digital training tools of the participating youth workers have been improved. A total of 12 partners from different European countries have contributed their modus operandi and their experience with young people in order to enrich the networking and improve the intervention in this field. The young people of each entity have been the ones who have trained their workers, who, in turn, have shared and exchanged experiences in the mobility activity held in Madrid (Spain) in June 2021. The consortium has been formed by a large partnership. The project was coordinated by Spain and involved 4 countries with a high Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands and Estonia. In addition, partners with whom Fundación Senara -the leader of the consortium- develops several network projects have also participated: Slovenia, Poland and Croatia. In addition, organisations from France, Lithuania and Latvia joined the project, which are very interested in improving their training in the digital and NICT field. The objectives pursued by the project were: - The promotion of inter-generational dialogue, young people and youth workers, by bringing youth concerns closer to professionals in the participating countries. - To improve digital literacy among youth workers. - Promote intercultural diversity and research actions that foster a critical and tolerant spirit among young people and professionals. The project has had two distinct phases: - Local phase: each partner participating in the project held sessions with young people in order to get to know their digital concerns. The young people themselves were in charge of training the youth workers. The main objective of these meetings was to find out how they use new technologies. Also, as the project had to be delayed due to the covid19 crisis, the team of workers at the foundation considered it more interesting to focus these sessions on the use that young people had made of new technologies during the pandemic. It also addressed how the pandemic influenced these trends and changed the tastes of young Europeans. A total of 96 young people and youth workers participated. - International phase: a mobility meeting with youth workers took place in Madrid on the weekend of 4-6 June 2021. The event was held in person and was attended by 19 professionals. Also, from the entities that due to the situation of the covid19 pandemic could not attend in person, some people were able to follow the meeting online. At this meeting, an exchange of experiences took place among the participants, which allowed them to understand the general use of information technologies by young Europeans. In addition, tools and resources for working with young people, promoting a good use of networks and improving participation in European projects were offered. Through the E-Inclusion project, links have been established and strengthened between different youth institutions of different sizes - foundations, associations, youth clubs - that have a common goal: to work for young Europeans. The digital skills of the employees of these institutions have been increased and an innovative method based on know-how has been implemented, giving young people a voice and a vote, involving them in their reality and making them true protagonists of the social reality.
