Objectives

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-UuDsLa4WA The Youth exchange ‘Touch the Soul’ involved 50 participants including 2 group leaders per country, coming from France, Turkey, Romania, North Macedonia, and Lithuania. By taking part in this project, the participants learnt various valuable personal and social skills, which were in line with what we expected. Thus, throughout the project they learnt about the power of music to unite people no matter of their bedgrounds or belonging, which helped them appreciate their differences and use them in their advantage. It gave them an opportunity to learn about different music traditions, songs and ways to express through music. Hence, they were able to create music in mixed groups for their final performances by combining different music styles and choreography. Such action helped them discover their talents, strengths and weaknesses and use them in practice for achieving mutual goal. The objectives achieved with the Youth exchange are the following: motivating young generation to use music styles as educational tool, as well as a mean for social change, empowering them to become more active in their daily life and to use their time qualitatively and usefully, transforming their own musical experiences, to develop musical competencies and to learn a variety of techniques to develop creatively, encouraging their talent and build their confidence, giving advice about active youth involvement and to promote social inclusion through non formal education, music and performance, explaining different approaches and perspectives in music, as well as to exchange experiences and practices, promoting the Erasmus+ Programme and non-formal learning, providing opportunity for intercultural dialogue and to strengthen respect for cultural diversity.
