Since 2004, 3PA develops activities in the field of ecological transition. Since 10 years, we have oriented our activities headed for the young people NEETs on the subject of environmental and ecological transition by the prism of employment and jobs which are related to. How to reconcile the struggle against climate change and the environmental protection by developing youth employment ? It is the question to which 3PA seeks to answer since many years. In 2017, 3PA, supported by its experiences, has decided to pass a stage in its development and start up the first European school of the ecological transition (ETRE). This school, the first of its kind, aims for guide and train young people in difficulties in new environmental jobs and circular economy. Clearly focused on Europe, by its name for sure but also by its activities, ETRE has decided to create European dynamics with reference to ecological transition and struggle against the climate change. After has largely talked about employment of young people, we wish to add a specific accent on entrepreneurship of young people, to be aware that this theme develops and faces a growing demand of young people on this theme, we have decided to propose a training course on this issue in order to promote the development of entrepreneurship among young people and to act concretely against climate change. We have chosen to have several (7) partner countries (Greece, France, Ukraine, Latvia, Algeria, Turkey, and Czech republic) in the setting up this training course GecKO (Green economy – Crisis KO). Since the creation of these partnerships we have built our network of partners around several themes and issues that have guided our choices in terms to create this training course. We have decided to involve maximum number of the countries (7) in order to multiply the impact of the training course and encourage feedback and dissemination in the different partner countries. In this choice to involve 7 organisations in the setting up this training GecKO, we have decided to propose to have two youth workers (age: not limited) accompany by one young participant (age:18-25) for each country. The aim is to create a real European dynamics in terms of entrepreneurship in the sector of ecological transition. The choice of Greece as a host organisation of the training is not without symbol. It is a country that has been badly affected by the economic crisis of 2008 and which still has very high rate of youth unemployment. Within the framework of the objectives we have chosen the name GecKO for this training in reference to this lizard who lives a lot in Greece and who is able to adapt to all situations. In terms of activities, we can characterize them into 4 groups : practical workshops, entreprise visits, workshops of building your own project and conferences/debates. Activities will take place on the Nord of Greece from the 19th to the 26th of Mai 2020. In the end of the training course the participants will have necessary tools to create their own project and they can also use their newly gained competences in the sustainable development and ecological transition perspective.
