"Somewhere under the LGBTQI + rainbow" wants to contribute to the promotion of democratic life and citizenship in Europe by the inclusion of all its citizens beyond sexual orientation. We therefore hope that this project will give young people from LGBTQI + communities the desire to participate openly in democratic life to defend and claim the rights of everyone, beyond sexual orientations or their gender. The project also promotes dialogue between the two LGBTQI + cultures of two different countries - France and Germany - by providing a space for pooling and exchanging best practices for fighitng violence and discrimination. This project is also a great opportunity to encourage these young people to learn both languages and also to grow in them the desire and curiosity to learn other languages. The goals of this action can be grouped into general and operational. With regard to general ones, we aim for the project to: • Include young people from LGBTQI + communities in youth exchange and mobility projects and give them more visibility, • Encourage dialogues between young people from these communities and young high school students or other young people in other contexts, • Improve and reinforce awareness campaigns around homophobia and transphobia, • Raise awareness about the acceptance of different sexual orientations and gender identity, • Make the victims of violence and discriminations actors of awareness campaigns against discriminations, • Facilitate the establishment of a cross-border LGBTQI + network that could be promoter of antidiscrimination actions in both regions, • Help young homosexuals or transsexuals to face the discrimination experienced and give them a way to build a support network, With regard to the specific goals: • Implement discriminatory awareness interventions for sexual orientation for young people and the general public, • Create effective and youth-friendly tools to fight prejudices against homosexuals and transsexuals (write 'positive' LGBTQI + vocabulary, create videos for youtube and social media, demystify stereotypes about queer and queer worlds) • Present the living situation of young homosexuals in the two regions targeted by this action, giving space to the beneficiaries of the action to express themselves about all their fears and difficulties.
