The Cyber me, cyber you project was designed by young people from 6 European countries (Greece, Croatia, Lithuania, Poland, North Macedonia and Spain), but young people and organizations from 1 country (Poland) eventually gave up. The aim of the project was 1. to research the topic of cyberbullying and peer violence among young people, children and adults, 2. to increase youth awareness of the importance of preventing cyberbullying and violence in general among young people, 3. to strengthen ICT competencies, skills and knowledge of project participants , 4. encourage the interest of young people from the local community to connect with young people from other countries and be active in the local community, 5. increase awareness of target groups through dissemination activities on the importance of cyberbullying and prevention of peer violence in general, 6. create results that are permanently available to local community and other stakeholders (www.stopthebully.eu). To explore all this, young people devised a project that lasted a long time on paper due to the pandemic and in reality a lot happened in 2022 since at the time of the pandemic neither young people nor organizations were interested in the activity. The young people met live in Samobor from April 21 to 29, 2022, and together they actively worked on these topics for 9 days. Upon returning to their countries, the young people conducted dissemination activities that they adapted to their local communities. The aim of all participants was to include young people with fewer opportunities and encourage their activation in the local community. Participants also aimed to discover similarities and differences in everyday life, customs, habits, desires and goals and ways of communicating in the real and online world through communication with young people from other countries (cultures).
