Objectives

Two key questions that will be addressed through this project are: 1. Do we have a dialogue and even more important, do we have a space for dialogue in our society which is multicultural? 2. Do NGOs and youth workers have highly needed capacity and competences to provide safe space for open, constructive and inclusive dialogue, especially among young people? Answers to those two questions, which are both negative, reflect the need for this project and what we want to achieve by implementing it. Project’s purpose is to support capacity building of partner organizations through professional development of youth workers, youth leaders and trainers in the field of facilitation of dialogue with multicultural groups. Objectives: • to support professional development of youth workers, youth leaders and trainers in the field of dialogue facilitation with multicultural groups • to provide step-by-step guidance through development of needed knowledge and skills by applying theory-practice approach • to gain and/or improve competences highly needed to empower and support young people to engage in constructive and enriching dialogue beyond the differences • to develop the ability to think more critically and complexly about issues relevant to engaging with differences • to encourage and support partner organizations in strengthening their commitment to intercultural dialogue at international, national and local levels This project was developed to answer identified needs of partner organizations and youth workers, leaders and trainers and to support them in development of competences need for facilitating quality dialogue with multicultural groups. This project aims to empower both participants and partner organizations to provide safe space for quality dialogue beyond the differences in their communities. By involving new organizations who are still not part of ECYON and NoHateMakers Network we will ensure expansion and sustainability, same as additional capacities to work in the field of human rights and promotion of diversity. The purpose of this project is to increase the number of individuals and organizations working in the field of intercultural dialogue, spread the methodology that can support them in that mission and to support networking which will enable sharing of experience and common actions towards building more peaceful and coherent society. With this project we want to make impact and positive changes – direct and indirect, shot-term and long-term, on different levels – from local levels of partner organizations to international level. We also want to have impact on different target groups: young people, youth workers and leaders, decision makers and citizens in general.
