Objectives

„Solidarity on the streets“ is a youth exchange project with a topic of promoting Solidarity as a powerful emphatic tool through street-art and vegan kitchen. Through this project we want to connect 41 participants from 5 EU countries to bridge their differences and work together for 10 days, learn new things, grow as individuals and produce quality ideas for the good of their communities and world. The purpose of Solidarity is to build our societies and to embody our mutual care and concern for decent and quality life for everyone. The participants expressed their thoughts at our last youth exchange project in Duga Resa and proposed to promote universal holistic tool of Solidarity to public through graffitti and vegan kitchen. The vegan cooking style is beneficial to everyone included in the process of preparing that type of food – it is in solidarity with the nature, animals and person who eats it. The mural that participants would paint in the city would every day inspire passerbys to reflect on their empathy capacities and perhaps motivate them to help those in need and respect everyone. The Main Objective of the project: - to improve participants' knowledge, competencies and skills on the project's topic – promoting Solidarity as a powerful emphatic tool that can change societies through various activities of non-formal education and active participation in local community. Other Objectives of the project: - exploring, evaluating and improving participants' life, social and interpersonal skills like active citizenship, positive attitude, empathy, responsibility, gratefullness, - exploring, evaluating and improving participants' creative DIY techniques like vegan style cooking, graffitti street-art etc., through nonformal and informal learning activities (vegan cooking workshop, creative expression workshops on various techniques of graffitti), - strengthening participants' organisational skills by organizing public event „Solid streets“ in Duga Resa, Croatia where they will promote Solidarity through cooking and distributing free vegan meals and painting a mural that will express participants' thoughts on Solidarity, - promoting European cooperation in the youth field and attaining increased capacity of partner organisations to operate at EU/international level by modernisation of their activities and by internationalization of their managerial and organizational capacity through creating a strong partnership, - promoting mobility opportunities for youth by organising youth exchange project in international environment (in Croatia with 5 EU partner organisations for 41 participants).
