Objectives

All around the Europe, there are still villages where youngsters live without much opportunities to develop themselves beside classic, formal education. Idea for this project was built, on national level, by Association Murtila for youngsters in a small town called Dvor on river Una. Youngsters there work mainly in agriculture. We realized two main problems: how to ensure economical life and activities trough self-employment and possibilities of staying in their home towns and other is how to develop activities for ones already working on their family farms. After research and by past experience in working in previous EU projects members find that there are similar organizations in EU countries country dealing with same problems, and making solutions for their youngsters. Cyprus team is working on project where they realized that strong tourism and rural development is base for economic development. But since classic touristic offer is not enough they need to find innovative, new offer to attract tourist. Romanian partners, living in similar area as Croatian youngsters are already working on new ways of attracting tourists trough developing IT skills (mobile application). That is why during this project youngsters will try to think and share ideas about innovative ways of touristic offer, how to start businesses (Family farms administrative steps and opportunities) and think about activities which can be done in attracting tourists of all ages but especially for young ones. This project is build together by 3 partner organizations: Cyprus, Croatia and Romania. Main goal is to exchange experience, with in agriculture tourism, within social, sport and cultural activities in small and rural places and find solutions together for youngsters dealing with similar obstacles and problems in each country. During preparation of this project partners diagnosed and identified as the primary aim of this project to support the development of positive engagement with rural spaces and creative opportunities for youngster trough alternative sport offer and culture. We would like to find solutions together which could be used to encourage young people to become active in developing their skills and potential job opportunities using creative, collaborative art and physical expression, based on agriculture, rural development, alternative sport in nature and health-tourism for self-development.
