Objectives

Many young people are facing unemployment in some countries of Europe, the youth unemployment rate is over 30% and 40%, which makes it an important topic that needs to be paid attention to. This high unemployment rate is due to many different reasons like low educational background, no experience, no skills, high demands from the employers, social difficulties, living in rural areas etc. The reasons list is a very long one. What is important is to motivate and empower the young people so that they can be who they want and that entrepreneurship is an accessible tool for fighting unemployment. This will have a larger impact on the participants and the youth in general. The project had a strong message, which is that you can make your own job. With this youth exchange, we gave young people the opportunity to discover the skills they have and the possibilities that are out there. We created an environment for the participants to get to know themselves and their abilities more deeply, and learn about the entrepreneurship world. Becoming an entrepreneur takes dedication and skills, but moreover, it takes self-belief, which was injected into the youth within this project. Making the first step is the most difficult, this project encouraged young people to try. Objectives of the youth exchange: To discuss the issue of youth unemployment in various European countries To make the young people reflect on their abilities, skills and needs connected with the labor market To reduce the youth unemployment rates To give young people the knowledge and motivation about entrepreneurship and to empower them to try it out To bring the young people together from different countries to discuss about different realities, and learning from each other
