Our training aimed to summarise and transfer the experiences of the former Youth in Action Programme 5.1 and Erasmus+ KA3 in a seven-day international training for the youth workers present. This will be done to enable the participants of the training to implement successful projects in the future, building on the previous experiences in the category KA154-YOU, Youth Participation Activities, within the renewed Erasmus+ programme. During the training, using non-formal learning methods, the essence of the KA154-YOU application category and the main requirements of the application guidelines were discussed in detail with the participants. In addition, we focused on the European process of youth participation activities, and the professional specifics of conducting meetings between decision-makers and young people, and we prioritised the issue of ensuring the learning process of the young people involved. The immediate objective of the project was to involve more organisations in the implementation of Youth Participation Activities in a way that their project is well thought out, and meets the requirements of the guidelines and the needs, requirements and interests of the participants. The aim is to provide youth workers with experience and knowledge, not only in this category per se, but also in terms of closely involving young people in the involvement and learning process, better use of the Youthpass methodology, and cooperation with decision-makers and youth workers, so that we expect to see independent impacts in these areas, independent of the submission of the application. One of the sub-objectives of the project was also to expand our international network of partners in the KA154-YOU category, with whom we can in the future boldly embark on Youth Participation Activities at an international level, as this is a category in which our organisation has not yet participated as a coordinating organisation, but we plan to do so within the next one or two years. Another aim of the project was to produce a new video promoting Youth Participation Activities, with subtitles in several languages. The video could also attract the interest of organisations across Europe who were not partners in the implementation of the training.
