Objectives

With the Facilitation Academy vol.3. the project, we have set ourselves the goals to promote quality youth work. At the time of submitting the application in 2019, we realized that youth work in Europe is not always of high quality, so we and our partner organizations decided to implement the project that had already been implemented twice and had achieved good results. The project's replication provided an opportunity for all stakeholders to introduce new trends, methods, and approaches to the participants, which they could apply not only during the program but also in their future work. Maintaining or enhancing the quality of youth work and its mediation is a priority among the organizational objectives of the GYIÖT. The international development of youth work was to be achieved by developing the facilitation skills and competencies of the participants selected by the partner organizations as youth workers during the project. The project sought to strengthen the professional skills and knowledge of the participating professionals, which they could put into practice through the management of a youth exchange program at the end of the three-stage training. By providing a complex learning process and continuous mentoring throughout the project, we aimed to ensure that the learning was not only of high quality but also that it was properly integrated and processed. During the mentoring process, we provided participants with up-to-date support materials and resources that they could use not only during the project but also later on. This is in line with our aim to enable partner organizations and participants to continue to deliver better quality youth work after the end of the project. We also aimed to improve the cooperation with partner organizations, which was particularly needed during the program, as the preparation and closure process took almost a year.
