With this project we intended to improve the level of key competences and skills of young participants, so thus they are more prepared to step to the labour market. We also aimed to enhance cooperation between organisations in the youth field, reinforce good working relationship among the organizations. Also aimed to fighting high levels of unemployment - particularly among young people present from the partner organizations. The projects helped young people to upgrade their perception of the world, brushed up their English speaking skills, overcame shyness in friendly environment, met new people from different countries and developed competencies, strengthened values like solidarity, democracy, and friendship, and discovered new cultures, habits, and lifestyles through peer-learning. We are working with several young people in a yearly basis. We can see their lives, problems, happiness, sadness, challenges what they face. We can see how they struggle finding a job and how to get by... As we were discussing this project with some of the young people, they got very excited about the idea of the exchange project. Before a workshop we asked around 20 young people about why they would like to participate especially in this project. Their answers were: - I never met anybody outside my countries - Want to meet foreign people - would like to know other cultures - just curious - how is the life for young people in an other country - how can they get salaries so high it is impossible for us - how can they get practice before going to work - how can I study in an other country - how can I work together with people who speak English, and me not - what is true and what is false among the thing I see in social media about other countries - want to learn the language better. I reckon that mostly they would like to compare themselves with other people, and see the true facts about other culture. The participants had the opportunity to get all the answers they wanted, and this meant them a lot according to the surveys we conducted right after the project implementation.
