The aim of the Conscious Youth and Journalism project is to provide online training for staff and participants in organizations to help them use conscious media, effectively filter out fake news, and improve their outward communication through the skills and knowledge they have acquired. We want to further develop the capacity of the organizations by involving the young people participating in the project in their communication work. Through the project, organizations will be able to work with young people from their immediate circle of acquaintances with whom they already have a common experience; through the online exchange program, they were able to learn about young people’s work ethic, oral and written communication skills, and teamwork style. In the framework of the exchange program, young people learned about the content and form of fake news so that they could filter it out when using media. They gained knowledge about the journalism process, its basics, and interviewing. In order to be able to think in a complex way about the operation structure of an editorial office, they had to design their own editorial office. A questionnaire with young people on the acquisition and utilization of the above-mentioned knowledge and skills was completed in the first, third, and sixth months after the exchange program. Based on this it can be said that the majority of young people consume media content more consciously, and they are happy to share the knowledge acquired within the framework of the exchange program with their friends and family members. Young people who have been involved in content production since the exchange program has been able to make partial use of the skills acquired in the program. The partner organizations held the retrospective meeting after the exchange program. On the occasion, the partners evaluated the organization and conduct of the preparatory meeting and the exchange program, gathering what was and was not done in the quality that was right for them. Staff involved in the project reported that their online event management skills have improved and they are using online platforms more confidently.
