"Social Inclusion through Music" encourages young people to explore Europe's rich and diverse musical heritage. By highlighting the musical heritage, we correspond to the cultural heritage. Since cultural heritage is the fabric of lives and society, and music is part of our heritage, young people will learn the link between music and heritage so they can give it a place in their lives. Music unites communities and builds shared understandings between people. The specialty of music is that it connects people with a transcendent universal language. Through music many stories are told and historical events recorded. The songs reflect on what happens in individual lives and societies. In addition to hoping for a future, people hope and dream. In short, music acts as a mirror that reflects what is in people's minds. We emphasize how music can help build better mutual understanding among young people across Europe and how young people can use music to connect and communicate with each other. During this project we want an answer to the following questions: - Can music help focus on some (European) topics and issues? - Does the music only pass like any other temporary consumable good without meaning? - Can we extract stories and recognize social trends from it? - Can we interpret it over time and time itself produces effects on music? - How does music find a way to cross borders and bring people together? - Can music be our common language in a Europe full of different people? In the creative sessions the young people experiment, for example: the use of music to send a message about a healthier environment (the sound of living sound, catchy melodies of a perfect tuned life). Imagination is the key word of this musical research for a Europe in harmony. The results of these creative sessions will appear in a physical exhibition that can also be viewed on the project's Facebook group.
