The idea of the project is linked to the issue of migrant's wave we are facing in Europe. With the increasing of number of migrants, more and more people get radicalized with their opinion and behavior towards other nationalities, especially towards migrants. This happens because people have no idea about the reason why they go away from their home countries and the background from which they escape. The radicalization of opinions is usually favored by media that often give news aimed to influence negatively the opinion of people towards migrants and refugees. The objectives we want to reach are deeply connected to the ones of Erasmus+ program and are: - Developing tolerance and mutual solidarity by spreading reliable information about migrants and real experiences of refugees not only in participants but also in the local community of Messina and partner NGO cities - Raising the level of knowledge of youth to enhance their quality of work for young people and among organizations dealing with youth and migrants issue - Shaping the attitude among youth to be conscious of the consequences of the radicalization - Empower work of NGO to fight radicalization by giving examples of non formal activities - Including young people with fewer opportunities - Expansion of the international dimension of activities for young people - Raise participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, offering them the opportunity to build networks of international contacts, to actively participate in society and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity - Promoting intercultural dialogue, tolerance and respect for human rights - Getting first-hand experience by visiting a welcoming centre - Promoting Erasmus + program, non formal education and youthpass importance.
