Young people from Italy, Spain, Romania, Malta and Turkey have found that Eurostat data are related to early school leaving / studies are worrying. The European average shows that 10.6% are young people who have interrupted their training, while the countries of origin of the young participants are unfortunately the tail of the registration, more specifically: Italy 14.5%, Romania 16 , 4%, Turkey 31.0%, Spain 17.9% and Malta 17.5%. From these data it follows an increase of illiterate young people set, that is people not able to effectively use the skills of reading, writing and calculation in the conditions of daily life: this is an increase of inactive people that goes to increase the number of NEETs. Another critical element that refers to the previous phenomena is that related to reading: in fact this tool is less and less used by young people who, according to Eurostat data, do not spend more than 7 minutes per day reading an average book and prefer to waste time in unproductive way in front of their smartphones. The objectives of the project are: - Provide basic and transversal skills to young people who have abandoned their training through innovative and participatory methodologies; - Positively affect the percentage of illiterate young people in the exhibition and by far rediscover interest in reading through non-formal methodologies such as theater, narration, human library and open discourse; - Spread and strengthen the book's tool by sharing a local, regional and European level; - Spread the Erasmus + and ESC program and enhance the participation in non-formal education activities. - Provide an opportunity for international quality mobility for young people from different backgrounds and with fewer opportunities.
