This project was born from a previous European Voluntary Service (EVS) project that took place at the Battisti-Ferraris secondary school in Bisceglie entitled "Creative Inclusive Non-Formal". The project wanted to reduce the causes of exclusion and stereotypes among the young participants, given their young age. In fact, the project entitled "bridge the gap" aimed to bridge the "gap" between different cultures, between reality and the perceived. The project focused on 2 interconnected themes environmental protection and cultural differences. These two themes were addressed through art, creativity and sharing. From the needs analysis carried out with the group of young people it emerged that the greatest concern was addressed to the environment and the exclusion of young people from other cultures who populate our territory. According to recent statistics, this "gap" of knowledge and perception of reality manifested itself with the underestimation of the phenomenon of pollution and with the hostility towards different cultures given by a distorted narration of the migratory phenomenon. In particular, the presence of perceived immigrants in our community is far superior to the actual presence. TARGETS The objectives of this project were: - Allow groups of young people aged 13-17 to have a first approach to the Erasmus + program and the opportunities that Europe has available. - Give the possibility to groups of young people to have an intense first contact with young people from other cultures with other habits and lifestyles. - Through art and interculturality, address the most burning issues we face today: the protection of the environment and the inclusion of the different. - Offer young people a non-formal learning experience, which could bridge the school gap focused on formal learning. - Enable young people to have fun in a multicultural environment, while reflecting on important issues.
