With this project, we aim to contribute to promoting Health as defined by WHO: not merely the absence of disease and infirmity but physical, social and mental well-being. In accordance with the direction of the physical activity strategy for the WHO European region 2016- 2025 (http://www.euro.who.int/en/health-topics/disease-prevention/physical- activity/publications/2016/physical-activity-strategy-for-the-who-european-region-20162025 ) and based on our competencies and capabilities, this project we aim to: - decrease the level of physical inactivity and promote a healthy and active lifestyle - promote healthy habits to implement in everyday life, at home as well in work environments - empower people and the community (trought youth workers at first) about the topic of health - ensure that youth workers will develop competencies and will learn how to use tools that will be used to educate the youngest about health - create a network between NGO and people so to promote new partnership for strategic projects, national and international - ensure inclusive health programmes and initiatives (regardless of gender, age, income, education, ethnicity or disability). We want to carry out this project to work on the answers to the previous questions, but above all to analyze something very important, the increase in sedentariness, the increase in levels of stress and related disorders. An increasingly sedentary life and a limited awareness of our body leads to increased stress levels, decreased self-esteem, increased depression and many other psychomotor disorders. We have done some small research: according to the EU Labor Force Survey, in 1999- 2007 almost 28% of respondents, or about 55.6 million European workers, reported that their mental well-being had been compromised by exposure to psychosocial risks. The main objective of the project is to provide useful tools for youth workers who deal with and work with young people and beyond. The themes of inclusion, social change, personal development and self-awareness are part of the world of education, sport and training. According to our vision and in view of these problems we decided to create this project to start building a community of healthy and aware young people and youth workers ready to help build social change. With creativity and initiative the participants will improve their skills in this regard: Physical well-being (state of health, anxiety, stress, pain...) Perceived well-being (quality of life, meaning of life for you.) Self-perception (self-esteem, skills, body image...) Knowledge of foreign languages and cultures Knowledge of sport as a tool for education Knowledge of learning tools Our approach is in favor of so-called peer-to-peer education, and not imposed from above, because one of the problems of these issues is that they are often discussed with difficult and complicated words and initiatives not aimed directly at the youngest and those with the youngest workers there. By providing tools to those who are in close contact with the youngest we believe that we can have a huge impact, using appropriate languages, but young people through games and workshops, and last but not least, challenging them to create and promote new healthy habitats, once back home through the new channels of communication to expand and promote even more our message. What we want to achieve with this project is for participants to return home with a greater awareness of the power they have over themselves, their bodies, their emotional state, their relationships and the context around them and with tools that they can use in their work and in their sending organizations. We expect that with this awareness of being able to take charge of their own lives and make a difference in the way they want, for themselves and for others, they will really decide to do it! We believe in the importance of small daily actions, in leading by example and in the possibility of spreading good principles and healthy habits through influencing each other. For this reason we expect that it is not an awareness for its own sake, but that it is translated into daily actions (the implementation of practices and principles learned during the training) and in sharing them with others.
