With the Erasmus+ project "Together we can try" rugby was used as an educational tool, through which values such as support and solidarity could be transmitted. Other objectives of the project were to give more opportunities to young people with and without disabilities, to work in a team and try leadership within a group. Both personally and as a sports club Spartacus we have long been very close to the issue of disability and the problems caused by exclusion that afflict our friends, having said that we are committed to pursue the following objectives: -Share basic knowledge regarding the use of Rugby as an educational tool.... -To increase soft skills in young people such as leadership, teamwork and communication. -To increase the quality of life of people with disabilities. -Develop personal competencies through intercultural learning. -Inform young people about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program. -Put non-formal methodologies to use with young people, especially those with disabilities, who do not benefit from formal education.
Rugby is one of the oldest sport in Europe, however, it is still not very well known in many countries of our continent, despite this it is recognized at international level as of-of the sport that represents the team spirit at its best. When we added this to the needs that kids with special needs have to practise physical activities and be included in the group dynamics of their peers that's when "together we can TRY: Rugby as tool for Inclusion" was born. With this exchange or objectives are: -Share basic knowledge on how to use Rugby as an educational tool -Give the chance to young people with and without disabilities to practise their leadership and teamwork skills. -Increase the quality of life of kids with special needs. -Inform youngsters of the opportunities offered by the Eramus+ program -Use non-formal methods with youngsters that can't enjoy fully formal activities.
