Objectives

A program was developed (shared with the partners) balanced and aimed at achieving the set objectives: comparison activities, practical exercises, simulations and follow-up. The program includes activities that develop over 10 days: - Presentation of the groups and the territory of origin: it will be an opportunity for the participants to start a mutual knowledge - Energizers for the start-up of the activities, conducted in rotation by the participants themselves - Team building: the starting point for the development of each activity will be the creation of an excellent work group. Through games and exercises the participants from single entities in a classroom will increasingly become a close-knit and collaborative team -The Effective Communication: preparatory phase for each comparison is to reflect on how to communicate effectively with whom we face. An excellent communication method will, in fact, favor a fruitful exchange of ideas, thus generating an advantage for both parties involved in the relationship. Giving value and implementing communication skills between people will become the starting point for subsequent activities. Through a participatory and non-formal way, the students will be able to strengthen this activity practically with the support of exercises and games. - Learning to listen: an essential corollary to be able to communicate effectively is to learn to listen to each other reciprocally. Only by optimally exercising this capacity can a fruitful exchange be created between the youngsters which will foster the welding between the participants, the creation of a group and the exchange of ideas and information. -laboratory of perception and prejudices: the participants will experience practically how behind every belief possessed there are often hidden prejudices and stereotypes used as convenient shortcuts to get immediately an idea. Starting to reflect on it will encourage an open mind and will allow the participants to find the conditions necessary to generate new ideas and proposals. Only by passing from the perception of a reality once and for all and immutable to a subjective and modifiable reality, the participants will be ready for the next step that will be to create new and original proposals about self-entrepreneurship and social tourism, freeing themselves from the usual schemes and proposing themselves effectively on the labor market. -As an interlude between non-formal activities and to give young people the opportunity to learn about the artistic-cultural heritage, an outdoor activity day is proposed in Palinuro, in which to discover the sea area known as ''Scoglio di Mingardo'' and the beauty of the famous Arco Naturale di Palinuro. - Laboratory of ideas and creativity: the participants will be provided with tools and methodologies that will help them in creating new ideas and solutions regarding the themes of the project and will practically experience the creation in autonomy of something innovative and original. - The Pitching: Final Phase Participants will be provided with tools and techniques to present in an effective and professional manner what they have developed in the previous days, from how to speak in public to a correct use of PowerPoint every child will have a wealth of techniques and methods to be able to move in work world. - Final event: a final event will be organized during which the participants will show the entire local citizenship the work done during the days of activity. We will also show the videos of the previous days properly assembled. The Youthpass will also be delivered here The profiles sought to be included in the Youth Exchange correspond to young people who, due to a series of problems related to economic and geographical obstacles, have not had the opportunity to live an experience of mobility and exit from the routine of their own cultural context. The partner associations (Serbia, Croatia, Germany and Italy) will send 8 young people who will participate in the project activities.

Background

The project Cilento in Tour(ism) will be implemented in the Campania Region, and in particular in one of its wildest centers, a hidden gem in the Cilento mountains, Montano Antilia. The project has set itself the goal of offering to participants tools to promote their territory and understand how, from its enhancement, their professional and social redemption can arise. Through comparison with peers from different European countries that will bring similar experiences from their countries of origin, the participants will acquire, supported by a facilitator expert in the subject, marketing techniques and promotion of territorial tourism. This area, although rich in history, culture, ancient culinary and artisan traditions, like so many other Cilento realities, remains cut off from the circuits of European tourism. The pervasive problem is youth unemployment, whose cause is attributable to the inability to increase territorial development and youth entrepreneurship. According to the latest Eurostat data for the year 2018, the youth unemployment rate was 32.2% in Italy, being in third place in the ranking of the European countries that mostly experience the employment crisis under 25. Moreover, our country is unable to reverse the trend which sees the number of under-25s without work constantly growing. The most alarming figure concerns above all the incidence of the unemployed on the population, which in this age group is one in ten. One of the objectives of the project, in fact, is to encourage the talent and entrepreneurial skills of young people from disadvantaged areas. Cilento, in fact, as a land of enormous yet unexpressed potential, becomes a privileged symbol where youngsters from different cultures can relate and, through interrelation, stimulate the development of their underlying capabilities. Often youths from peripheral areas complain of difficulties in entering the working world. Being born in small towns far from the big cities represents for the most part an obstacle that leads to demotivation and enthusiasm loss. Often the abandonment of the territory of origin is seen as the only possible solution to find a better professional and personal future. The promotion of tourism is therefore essential within the project as a glue between local heritage and the spirit of belonging to the European Union. Moreover, the project allows the young people involved to learn dynamics concerning the planning, creation and conception of trans-national projects, bringing to the knowledge of citizenship the programs and opportunities offered by the European community. In fact, the exchange of young people offers an international mobility experience in the security of a group, with an adequate number of leaders taking care of the participants.
