Objectives

Content/ history of the Project: The concept of entrepreneurship is one of the most popular topics nowadays. When we examine the entrepreneurship ecosystem carefully, female entrepreneurs are not seen frequently in our country and in many European countries. Although there are female managers in our country, they can not find much place in the field of entrepreneurship. When the reasons for this is investigated, the most important factor is the lack of support of the women by men, self-confidence and low motivation can be shown. In Europe, 52% of the population is female; 34.4% of employees and 30% of start-up entrepreneurs are women. Therefore, women's entrepreneurship is an issue that needs to be developed. The COSME Program attaches special importance to women entrepreneurs in order to encourage women and to contribute to both the family economies and the national economies by establishing their own businesses. There are initiatives all around the world to involve women in the business world. UNICEF, the United Nations, organizes a competition for women entrepreneurs. Every year, successful women are selected and rewarded, especially in developing countries. However, the point reached so far does not point to a significant change in the world beside our country. Apart from some sectors, women's place in the business world as an ‘’employer’’ remains very limited. The main objective of the project is to increase the entrepreneurial competence and motivation of young women to become entrepreneurs. Objectives of our project: To teach the basic points of entrepreneurship to the participants. To increase the motivation of women to show their entrepreneurial spirit. To show the barriers to women entrepreneurship to the participants. To make participants aware of their talents and skills in entrepreneurship.
