The background and reason for this project stem from the fact that the participation of young people is often defined in adult terms. Hence, by engaging youth directly in a collaborative community-based effort, giving young people the skills, confidence, and experience they need to become effective actors for positive social action, this project aims at increasing young people's engagement, particularly of under-24s, in solidarity/volunteering activities within their community. Tо reach this aim, we set up the following оbjectives: To set up a youth-led group in each country partner To empower young people to lead and act for themselves To raise young people’s awareness to solidarity and volunteering To share eu best practices for youth engagement It was a really good way to introduce a part of the adult ‘world into teenagers’ life, and by the way showing them that volunteering and solidarity aren’t just two big worlds with no sense, but two real subjects.
