The project "Self-empowerment to support young people" consisted of a training course to provide youth workers and youth leaders, active at the local level but with limited experience in multicultural contexts or with mixed groups, with skills and tools to act more effectively and with greater awareness of their role as facilitators in non-formal learning processes. The project achieved the following objectives - to enhance personal and transversal skills of youth workers and youth leaders to work in the youth field in multicultural and international contexts, and to manage youth activities - to transfer methods and tools for managing youth groups and involving young people, including those with fewer opportunities, in non-formal education and social voluntary activities - to reinforce the skills needed to accompany young people in recognising, reviewing and evaluating their competences in order to improve the educational impact of the initiatives in which they are involved; - to share good practice between the organisations in the partnership in order to develop new methods and initiatives for young people; - to enhance the role of youth workers and NGOs in supporting the personal and professional development paths of all young people, especially those with cultural and socio-economic/educational disadvantages.
