The main priority of the project “RESourCE” is to "engage, connect and empower" the young generations on the fundamental objective of creating a sustainable green Europe, as encouraged in the European Union Strategy for Youth 2019-2027. To tackle environmental threats is an urgent need for our society, confirmed also by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which need to be achieved by 2030. This process of change requires knowledge, skills and the will to convert current socio-economic models into more sustainable ones; all of these components, however, are not yet developed in young people. In Italy, only 17% of young people under 27 know the 17 goals of sustainable development, and for 6 of them out of 10, it will be up to future generations to achieve these goals. With these needs in mind, CSA has decided to build a strategic partnership for the exchange of good practices in environmental education and eco-compatibility of human activities. It will be composed of 4 European partners, based in Germany, Hungary, Spain and Italy, and 1 Israeli partner, a world leader in saving natural spaces and educating young people in active initiatives for nature. CSA has privileged a cross-sectoral approach, and chosen to involve partners specialized in different fields, from youth training (CSA) to sustainable urban development (GARAPEN), from industrial production and circular economy (ITALCAM) to school education (KÖZGAZDASÁGI POLITECHNIKUM ), from technological innovation to youth activism (SPNI). 18 participants aged between 18 and 60 will be selected, among people committed to youth work or to projects aimed at supporting young people in sustainable development. Particular attention will be dedicated to include 5 participants with fewer opportunities. The project will be for them a precious opportunity to overcome economic, social, cultural or geographical barriers. All participants will take part in the on-site activities of the project, in the online sessions for sharing of materials and in 4 joint training events in each European partner country. Non-formal methods will be preferred to share good practices, based on experiential and "learning by doing". Thanks to meetings with researchers, entrepreneurs, local development authorities, students, etc., the participants will be able to improve their role as guides and facilitators, able to produce knowledge and correct information and, at the same time, to carry out a 'pedagogical' function, helping adults of tomorrow to adopt eco-friendly behaviours. Mobility periods will represent a "creative" moment, in which participatory techniques will be adopted, such as Future Workshops, World Cafes, Brainstorming, Storytelling, Debriefing, Laboratories, which will be replicated by each participant in their own countries, in activities involving young people. A platform (RESourCE) will also be created; it will be a virtual space where materials, success stories, events, laboratories, videos of outdoor activities will converge. It will be open not only to partner organizations and young people, but also to all those subject interested in developing eco-sustainability initiatives (public bodies, schools and universities, youth associations, companies). During the entire duration of the project, the contents and results of the project will be disseminated, both through ICT channels and through events in schools, youth centres, public bodies, companies, trade associations etc Thanks to the support of local authorities, private institutes, environmental bodies, professionals, both local and national , and through the online platform, the project will continue to support itself and to produce its positive impact even after the formal closure of the European funding.
CSA and PPs with the involvement of 72 people and their respective local institutions, NGOs, Universities, companies, speakers met during the 5 days of LTTA in 4 EU countries understood the realities of their territories, the needs in terms of environmental sustainability and circular economy and trained the "72 New Experts" in an active commitment to sustainable development by defining a new model of society, according to criteria of greater responsibility in social-environmental-economic terms, aimed at avoiding, each in their own sphere, the collapse of the Earth's ecosystem. In this status, all the interviewees and trainees were able to play their part: the 'Erasmus RESOURCE society' became aware of the fact that the traditional development model shows that the limits of the planet are real. They proposed a new RESOURCE model of development, mentioned in the eGREEN Competence Manual and Handbook (available on the RESOURCE website) that is based on respect for the future, in a word, on the concept of "sustainability" founded on the process "extract, produce, possess, throw" questioned in the relations between producers and consumers for a transnational dialogue between known actors through the creation of a permanent structure.
The main needs were to "mobilise, connect and empower" 72 people from 4 EU partner countries (Germany, Spain, Italy, Hungary) and one from Israel with SPNI partner (world leader in the preservation of natural spaces and active involvement of young people in land protection): generations committed to the goal of creating a more green and sustainable EU, in line with the EU Youth Strategy 2019-27, more competitive with Green and digital Skills countering environmental and digital threats by recalling ONU goals and the STRATEGIC FORESIGHT REPORT. The process of change requires knowledge and willingness to transform current economic models and participatory governance. CSA and PPs in the exchange of good practices in the educational-environmental field adopted the cross-sectoral approach by involving NGOs specialised in youth education (CSA-Szyator), sustainable governmental urban development (GARAPEN), the productive-institutional world (ITALCAM), technological innovation and respect for nature (SPNI). Eighteen participants were selected (on average for each LTTA C1,2,3,4), aged between 18-60 years of which 5 participants were few opportunities, aimed at empowering in their territories albeit in different intensities and directions.
