Objectives

Description Why? a)NGO DUKU has never tried to organize youth exchange. So it will be the first such attempt to do international activity. b)The project runs under inspirations of legend Jack Kerouac book “On The Road” written in hippies times. We feel, that FREEDOM; experience small moments of HERE and NOW TIME; RELATION based communication; ACCEPTING DIVERSITY; respecting socially excluded people/immigrants is very actual for our days young people and we can learn a lot from that. So we want to organize Youth Exchange and to work on these topics. c) This year we have celebrated anniversary of 30 years from Baltic people's expression of freedom- Baltic human chain-BALTIC ROAD (from Vilnius to Talinn)(so again ROAD:)). We want to go deeper in understanding what how people were using their freedom 30 years ago and what we could learn/take from them to our lifes. Objectives : To reflect how do we use our freedom. To look at how our freedom is connected with responsibility for fewer opportunities people, nature. To analyze why do we need diversity in our societies? (to overcome prejudice about immigrants, disable people…) To inspire youngsters to find gifs of HERE and NOW moments (to inspire to find/use their unique personality) To create space where youngsters could creatively find ideas and implement small actions “"Freedom puts on us responsibility" Issues: We work with topic “Freedom and responsibility”, which was inspired by Jack Kerouac's legend book “On The Road”. We believe that freedom is not just doing what I want and consummation of resources/opportunities. We want promote proactive attitudes of young people, where freedoms means to create smth greater than me; where freedom means critically look at processes around me; where freedom mean solidarity with nature or fewer opportunities people; where freedom means accept and learn from diversity
