The idea for this project came from the minds of our volunteers who had participated in a previous theater project where they came to the conclusion that theater could be used to raise awareness on topics that are at the heart of our society's problems. They chose to talk about gender equality in our society. Following some scientific, social and anthropological research, here is what they discovered: Man and woman are still not standing at an equal scale in our society. What our volunteers wanted to advocate during this project is a message of tolerance, a humanist message before all. They wanted to prove that by communicating, by trying to understand each other without judgment, things will improve and move in the right direction. Our volunteers wanted to put people before gender, humanism before individualism and selfishness. May everyone live in peace with one another without trying to belittle or feel superior to him. And that is also one of the goals of the Erasmus + program, to put equality before gender. To help spread the message faster and easier, our volunteers decided to involve young people from all over Europe to come for this experience. After much reflection, they decided to use the theater to raise awareness on this subject. Why ? Because the theater is the best way to share opinions. It's a moment of pure truth where we face our own reality, the one that surrounds us and that we cannot avoid. The theater makes us ask questions about ourselves and our society. It challenges our way of life and inspires us to change things. To talk about the equality of genders they have come to the conclusion that the theater is the best solution. To share their message that inspires equality among genders and be heard through a resonating theater play, they decided to create several workshops of a non-formal nature that would guide the participants through the week of activities.
