Background The European Association for Eifel and Ardennes (EVEA) promotes cross-border cooperation in the Eifel-Ardennes region in the areas of business and tourism, culture, nature and landscape protection as well as sports and youth encounters. The International Youth Commission of the EVEA organizes around 20 - 25 cross-border youth encounters every year, mainly in the four countries of the Eifel-Ardennes region. Through the transnational encounters, the young people gain an insight into society, the social situation and the working world in their neighboring countries. The concrete living and working together makes an important contribution to the growing together of European youth in this region. The cooperation is mainly aimed at young people from the Eifel-Ardennes region (in the four countries of France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany), but is also supplemented by cooperation with other European regions that work together in the "platform network". Goals of the project By actually living together, the young people get an insight into society, the social situation, everyday life and the working world of the participating countries during the encounters. Practical living and working together contributes to the growing together of young people in this region. The Youth Exchange "Eurovisions - Our future is togetherness" enables the participating young people to take part in a common activity program centered on their active participation in the various workshops and enables them to discover and become aware of social and cultural differences . In this way, they should learn from each other, develop initiatives and strengthen their awareness as European citizens.
