Objectives

The main activities of the youth exchange project #Clowning were carried out between 14 and 22 June 2022 with the aim of introducing the clowning method to participants, sharing best practices to promote the identification and resolution of social problems through this method; empowering young people from different countries to meet, to engage in intercultural dialogue, to be active and to express themselves; promote cooperation between young people and other social groups - social care centers, youth groups at risk of exclusion, schools, etc.; create new ideas, forms of action to address existing social problems. To achieve the set goal, tasks were defined: promote tolerance and understanding of other cultures among young people and society; create an environment in which each participant can feel free and is motivated to try something new; promoting social inclusion by encouraging more and more young people from different social groups to participate in equivalent projects; by creating a final event during which project participants will show performances and discuss, promoting social problem solving by clowning method. Although implementation of the project was not possible without last-minute changes due to COVID-19 morbidity, and in activities only 21 out of 36 participants took part, but we still believe that we have achieved the objective and tasks set in the project, as evidenced to that is the feedback from participants on how they have improved skills, to raise awareness of the possibilities of the Erasmus programs, etc., as for some participants this was the first experience of participating in Erasmus projects. Within the framework of activities, participants, using non-formal educational methods, developed skills regarding visual image creation, improvisation, Clowning performance making, formation of performances, teamwork, communication, co-responsibility and inclusion. The discussions highlighted topics such as social challenges in each partner country and Europe as a whole, cultural differences, future objectives and motivation to participate. After the project has been implemented, we also appreciate participants' involvement in sharing their knowledge with their peers in their countries and their desire to maintain contacts and think of new ideas in order to meet new friends in the projects in the future.
