This was a re-submission of the proposal improved after taking into consideration recommendations by EUPA. Our group of youths are always looking to identify some new tools which can assist them in getting more migrants and those with fewer opportunities youths active in GRF and following discussions with our partners came up with the idea that observing and a glance at our smartphones, TV or news portals youths find themselves looking at images of helpless migrants trying to reach our shores. But once they land, they are forgotten, just a number in our population, left alone to start a new life. How many of them are young people, have a fantasy, a dream? But how many are active in society, in NGOs's for a smoother integration? Our exchange of youths project actually was based on these young migrants fantasy and dreams & what NGO’s are doing to realize that dream and what can be further done, using fairy tales as the tool for participation and integration bringing together youths to be empowered with new non-formal tools to share, exchange and learn new methodologies based on a fairy tale context. Considering that our youths are the main instigators of activities in our NGO's by using fairy tales as the means of reaching our goals in dealing with young migrant’s integration into society the participants explored how through fairy tales they can create games and knowledge which will helps young people and young migrants better integration into society. The need to address the ever changing society were society is composed of people from different cultures and nationalities is present with us and as youths from a diverse and mixed society, felt the need that to be able to address the fields of minority groups through displacement, be it immigrants or refugees through this youths project they managed to tackle, identify and create new tools through sharing of knowledge & experiences through a novelty method by using the fairy tale as a tool with working with immigrants/refugees. The participants gained knowldge which enabled them to transfer to their organisations, a new tool (need of creative tools) fairy tales (a common subject for all cultures) to support their work among young people for a more integrated society. The fairy tale as we all know is a short story which featuring folkloric fantasy characters such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, dwarfs, dragons, witches, giants, griffins, mermaids, unicorns and talking animals, and usually enchantments or magic. The term is mostly used for stories with European origin and nowadays mostly relates to children's literature. As opposed to legends they usually take place "once upon a time" and do not contain actual person and places. Fairy tales often involve a far fetched sequence of events that ultimately progress to a satisfying conclusion while teaching a moral lesson. Have existed for thousands of years, at first as oral and then written literary works. The oldest known written fairy tales stem from ancient Egypt, c. 1300 B.C.E. The name "contes de fée" - "fairy tale" was first ascribed to them by Madame d'Aulnoy in the late 17th century. The German term "Märchen" came from the old German word "Mär", which means story or tale. The word "Märchen" is the diminutive of the word "Mär", therefore it means a "little story". The genre was first brought out in the Renaissance through the works of many writers and most of all the Brothers Grimm. Originally they were not aimed to children only. The objectives of the project were developed following various discussions between youths and young people who were looking at the negative attitude some youths show towards life, society, lack of participation and the ever growing mix of cultures in our society which need to be addressed. Through the use of Psycho educational fairy tales which are short stories, in which the main character encounters emotionally difficult situations as young immigrants/refugees face. By presenting the strategies used by the hero these fairy tales assisted youths to broaden their knowledge about how to deal with/solve difficult emotional problems faced. The goals of psycho educational fables enableb youths to dwell into, understand and practice methodologies on how to: * illustrating the negative situation in an intelligible way, * naming emotions that are possible to appear in these situations, * showing the relationship between the situation and the emotions that can be felt, * showing the problem, how to react during a difficult situation, * presenting ways to solve difficult problems, * encouraging to talk about problems * suggesting positive thinking. * open an avenue of participation and integration ( all youths have dreams, problems) This project targeted the following objectives of the Mobility Project for Youth funding strand inline with ERASMUS key objectives in addressing migration issues, Inclusion - equity and Integration of refugees which are a common to all.
