Objectives

The application had already been sent, but did not receive funding. Therefore, together with the partners, we analyzed it once again, filling in the gaps that the expert mentioned during the evaluation of the application. We came to the same conclusions that spoke of a lack of knowledge among youth workers about what social networks youth use, or for what specific purpose they use the Internet. Critical thinking and distinguishing valuable content on the Internet was also a big problem. We also wanted to focus on values such as freedom or tolerance, which are forgotten in the media. The main goal of the project was to equip youth workers with the competencies and tools necessary to strengthen their critical thinking skills and use them to receive information in the media, thus helping to prevent radicalization of young people (especially on the Internet), including among young people with fewer opportunities. Specific goals included: - learning about good practices - expanding knowledge on the use of the Internet and social networks by young people - counteracting the lack of critical thinking among young people - making visible the dangers lurking on the Internet - to learn about the tools of critical thinking and analytical skills - arranging knowledge in the field of information society - exchange of experience - training participants in the topic of project development - breaking stereotypes and prejudices among project participants
