The international youth exchange "In the rhythm of the soul" under the Erasmus + Program will be held at the Voluntary Labour Corps Training and Education Center in Wasilków from 21 to 25 May 2020. It will be attended by 21 participants from Poland, Lithuania and Romania aged 15-18, 1 leader from each country and coordinator of project. More than 75 % of the participants in our project are young people with limited life opportunities (ie a group from Poland and Romania ). The organizer of the project is the Podlasie Voivodship Command of Volunteer Labour Corps in Bialystok, while the partners are: FCASEC from Romania and Elektrenai ciltural center from Lithuania. The official language of the exchange will be English. The aim of the project is to develop personal competences (language) and promote active forms of spending free time that can bring a lot of benefits to a young person. On the one hand, the project may stop mindless use of phone, computer and television and allow the integration with peers, on the other hand, it shows huge, positive IT opportunities. Thanks to this project, its participants will enrich their social skills and knowledge about partner countries of the project. This type of idea can also become an inspiration to work for the local community and refugees. During the exchange, the youth will take part in dance and voca activities preparing for carrying out a flash mob, and will develop language skills based on vocabulary related to the dance. All activities will take place in international groups. During the project there will also be culture evenings of 3 participating countries, during which young people will present culture, history, national symbols, traditions, customs, music and dances typical of their country. In addition, the youth will take part in integrational games and activities, a disco and three expeditions to Św. Woda, Wasilków and Białystok, where not only they will earn about the natural and cultural values of Podlasie, but also have specific tasks to do (eg. city game). At the end of the exchange, participants will meet twice with primary school students to promote European integration and language learning. Thanks to participation in the exchange, the youth will learn to spend free time other than passive reception Internet or television content. Young people will convince that being physically and socially active develops concentration, creativity, communication skills and teaches how to identify and control their emotions, that it expands knowledge and learning horizons, and allows to spend pleasant moments with nice moments with other people. All these features will allowproject's participants to be better students, colleagues and people, fellow citizens of Europe. We also hope that breaking the language barrier will motivate these young people to learn foreign languages. In addition, participation in the project allows direct contact with people of other nationalities, therefore we hope that the youth will leave exchange richer for acquaintance from abroad, which will result in long-term friendships.
