Objectives

Out of Classroom was a project focused on promoting new approaches and methods related to non-formal education in youth work, especially in the context of working with young people at risk of exclusion. The main aim was to promote innovation in education, encouraging participants and partner organizations to become more open to experiments and more reflective towards the methods and tools they use, so that their projects are not only more effective, but also more adjusted to the needs of learners with fewer opportunities. The specific objectives of the project were: - exploring the concept of non-formal education and deconstructing the misconceptions around it - reflecting upon the role of facilitators in the projects addressed to young people at risk and sensitizing them to the specific educational needs of those target groups - sharing tools and methodologies and learning how to analyze them critically and adjust them to the specific local context - creating and spreading a tool-kit on non-formal education for activists working with youth at risk - building a sustainable network of partner organizations devoted to working internationally towards building more inclusive European societies, also in the context of Eastern Partnership
