By participating in the project, we wanted to increase and popularise knowledge about animal homelessness, work and volunteering at the shelter, as well as to familiarise and draw the attention of the local community to the problem of animals in shelters, to stimulate their humane treatment and empathy. To promote the protection and care of animal rights in the local community, to share good practices with the project partner. By working together as a team, we wanted to learn how to make group decisions and put them into action (implementation). Such projects help to overcome one's own fears and self-confidence, which is also helpful for social integration with a foreign partner. Getting to know each other's country, customs, culture and also the interests of their peers. Together, the participants decided to change Poland and the Czech Republic into more friendly countries, sensitive not only to people, but also to animals. Thanks to the financial support we received from the Erasmus + programme, we were able to purchase food and accessories for animals, print information leaflets, invite our colleagues from the Czech Republic to visit us and carry out project activities and workshops together. Throughout the project, values such as tolerance, respect for animal and human rights, active and informed citizenship, intercultural dialogue and social inclusion were promoted.
