Aim of the project "Boal in practice" is to make drama tools more accessible for youth workers, believing that this methodology enhances creating intercultural understanding, as well as a sense of belonging to a community, by creating honest relations, exposing to vulnerability in a safe context and to a controlled extend. “Boal in practice” envisions to carry out a training course presenting drama tools, specifically games and role playing activities described in the book: “Games for actors and non-actors”, as a tool for youth workers to work with internally diverse groups, addressing topics such as communication, community, values, conflicts, violence, status. In the book, being considered a specific manual for drama trainers, Augusto Boal describes the games and activities which he gathered and developed, being part of the process of creating applied theatre. We take it as a resource to share and practice with our participants.
