Objectives

The youth cooperation project "Our future in our hands" is a response to the needs of young people participating in it, wanting to develop their language interests and at the same time develop their entrepreneurial competences, thus increasing their attractiveness on the labor market. The project involves the personal and social development of students, their activation through non-formal education. During their stay in Poland, young people will have the opportunity to work together in a group and learn from each other. During the exchange, young people will learn the techniques of proper communication, under the guidance of a trainer they will learn how to effectively present their projects using various techniques - poster, photoVoice, film. Creating joint projects and business plans that would be applicable locally will be a very motivating experience, because in this way project participants will realize how much depends on them and that they can have a real impact on the management of the local community by participating in City Youth Councils, school self-governments, creating local initiatives. Young people want to "take matters into their own hands", act locally in school, urban and regional reality. Participation in the project will convince young people to get involved in activities organized, among others, under the civic budget. Our project will show them how they can implement their youth projects, how to raise funds for them, how to build their business plans. During the workshop various work methods will be used - brainstorming, mind maps, etc. Project participants, drawing from each other, will work under the watchful eye of trainers. An important element of our project is also getting to know common European values, common cultural heritage, reducing prejudices and stereotypes, as well as learning tolerance and openness, in particular between Polish and Spanish nations. The themes and activities proposed in the project are aimed at showing differences and similarities in the field of history and culture, values, thus inducing reflection on others and themselves. The project draws the attention of participants not only to what divides, but above all to what connects young people coming from two places in Europe. Project activities are aimed at shaping youth civic attitudes through non-formal activities, deepening their language, geographical, historical and IT knowledge, awakening interest in the past, reflecting on the present and planning the future, encouraging creative and innovative activities, deepening students' autonomy in thinking and acting. Motivation to implement the project results from the desire to support young people. Participation in international youth exchange will be another important step in strengthening our students both professionally and personally. The possibility of meeting in an international group and discussions on shared values favors broadening the perspective and building social order, creating a platform for cooperation between representatives of the young generation, while reducing the risk of future conflicts and misunderstandings at school, home, the immediate environment, the country, Europe. Formed friendships will pay off for life, and the opportunity for participants to be and learn from each other will be a valuable lesson in life. The planned undertaking is an important lesson for educating young people on civic and social life. The project assumes the development of key competences, including in the area of competence to understand and create information, multilingualism, personal, social, learning, civic competences as well as in the field of cultural awareness and expression. Participants will develop the skills to understand, express thoughts and feelings, and describe events in foreign languages. During the project, students will acquire knowledge and skills that will contribute to the conscious planning of their educational and professional path.
