Objectives

Through the implementation of the "Overcoming hate speech" project, we wanted to convey our common international message to young people, so that they would reflect on the topic of counteracting hate speech, starting with themselves and their communities, actively engaging in activities aimed at counteracting hate speech and hate speech. Due to the essence of such a new, current and alarming problem, we wanted to exchange experiences and motivate everyone, especially our peers, to break stereotypes and become more tolerant. The project was aimed at: counteracting statements that spread, promote and justify racial hatred, xenophobia, ageism, christianophobia and other forms of intolerance undermining democratic security, cultural cohesion and pluralism. We also wanted to counteract the hatred directed at us young people. We wanted to learn to react and also teach our peers to do so to all manifestations of hate speech and to undertake early intervention. We wanted to contribute to building a social background for anti-discrimination activities. We wanted to create positive models for us, young people, open ourselves to diversity, tolerance, respect for human dignity, freedom, we wanted to show that despite the fact that we come from smaller towns, we are equal, promote justice, solidarity, equality between women and men, we also wanted to deepen knowledge of other cultures and their history, overcome erroneous stereotypes.
