The team of Association ARTE.M aimed to exchange good practices and examples with non-profits and SMEs around Europe and to learn from each other how to support the entrepreneurship and digital development of young artists. We wanted to discover artistic enterprises which function well, create value for their community, realize their potential, improve their wellbeing, inspire each other and teach tools, knowledge and skills to build an art-based business. As many non-profits work with amateur artists, and the development, distribution and consumption of art has been crippled during COVID, we felt the need to improve our competencies in supporting artists with more modern tools – and share the know-how of using online tools for increasing artistic outreach, build an audience, promote products, build small art entrepreneurship. With this Seminar, we wanted to share best practices of social/regular entrepreneurship based on art organizations and learn ourselves. Goals and Objectives of the project were the following: 1. The Seminar served as a platform for the exchange of best practices between non-profits and SMEs engaged in art and entrepreneurship. Our goal was to update and improve the competencies of the partners in helping young people to continue work in art and crafts and build a career out of it, become employable in the artistic field, be better prepared for the online engagement in the artistic field; create new attitudes that the digital competencies are needed in the majority of areas in life. 2. Increase the capacity of NGOs to help young people to boost their sense of initiative and entrepreneurship; to support them during their first steps in the art entrepreneurship; 3. By engaging the ultimate target audience - young artists, to increase the sense of initiative of young people engaged in art and crafts, empower them with tools and competencies which would eventually help them to become self-sustained artists; 4. Equip youth workers with competencies and methods for their professional development, needed for transferring the common fundamental values of our society, supporting a balanced society with proper emphasis on the importance of art and culture in our lives and the possibility of it being a fully sustainable occupation; 5. Increase the opportunities for NGOs to support young people from underdeveloped, rural or remote areas in their struggle to make art and crafts as their career of choice; help their independence and self-realization; 6. Create a more modern and professional environment inside the participating organisations: ready to integrate good practices and new methods into daily activities.
