Objectives

In our age man is forced to live in pedestrian and vehicle traffic until he dies from infancy on the street in his mother's arms. Such a widespread situation throughout life is not seen in any area. Accordingly, it becomes one of the areas with the highest mortality rates. According to the World Health Organization's report, the number one danger for the life of the 15-29 age group is not a fatal virus or disease, but a traffic accident. Every year in the world, 1 million 300 thousand people die from traffic accidents. In the same accidents, nearly 50 million people are injured, many of them with permanent damages. When the causes of deaths all over the world are listed, traffic accidents are now 9th. In recent years, despite the rapid improvement of highways reaching international standards in traffic accidents in Portugal, about 10 thousand people lose their lives every year and 200 thousand people are injured. When we look at the number of people who die because of traffic accidents, we see terrible figures every year. The practices and measures taken to prevent these traffic accidents are insufficient. According to the World Health Organization's report, the number of deaths in traffic is expected to increase to 1 million 900 thousand in 2020. Even if, it’s a small step and the number of people we could reach is limited we wanted to make this project in order to raise awareness among our target groups and make people think about this issue more seriously. As we started to prepare this project, we determined the following objectives to be reached: - To contribute to the road and traffic safety, to make studies, to take measures, - To create safe driving and traffic awareness in society and individuals, - To develop the traffic culture of society. In order to achieve these goals, the objectives of our project are; - To create traffic awareness in the participants and local people against the prevention of traffic accidents, - To raise awareness of participants and local people about traffic signs, traffic rules and precautions against traffic accidents, - To show how the First Aid in Transport should be applied. - To raise awareness among young people on the issue of traffic safety, - Collecting data by working with our partners and developing the project with these data, - To share the data resulting from the project with the related institutions and organizations and make suggestions. - Rejection of discrimination, xenophobia and racism, - To enter into cultural interaction of young people, - The fusion of young people, each other, different countries and cultures, - To enable more people to benefit from these projects by revealing their individual abilities through social dialogue, - Mosting the project and the Erasmus Plus Program to make more people benefit from these projects, - Emphasis on multilingualism and small activities to be held on the national languages of the participating countries, - To gain awareness about the subject by using popular learning methods. All these goals were achieved thanks to dissemination and sustainability activities, and the activities we mentioned above.
