Given the persisting inequalities and large asymmetries, we have identified as a problem the discriminatory behaviours suffered by young people due to their gender, especially women/girls in rural areas. There is a need to reflect, discuss and act on gender equality issues so that their understanding is increasingly broadened to bring benefits to European society and to combat persistent inequalities and discrimination. There is enough evidence that proves that investing in women is the most effective way to advance communities, businesses and even countries. Thus, our overall objective of the project is: to promote gender equality, social inclusion and interculturality in youth through a set of activities that enable the promotion of new initiatives and enable young people the ability to modify social behaviours. As project-specific objectives: - Youth empowerment, that aims at the balance of power between men and women. - Empower young people to promote gender equality in the various social spheres to which they belong; - Reflect on diversity and gender equity in order to change attitudes; - Sensitize and enhance critical reflection on topics inherent to Gender Equality; - Develop skills for action, particularly against stereotypes, prejudices and behaviors that contradict the principle of equality. - Promote the development of social and personal skills and empower young people for dialogue, tolerance and active participation in society. - Promote the sharing of good practices and increase international partnerships of organizations; - Promote the motivation of participants and their organizations to develop new youth and Erasmus + initiatives. The aim of this project is to promote the social inclusion of disadvantaged young people through the cultural exchange of experiences and learning based on non-formal education.
