Previously the reason to carry on this project was the extraordinary success we had in our previous project "Impact of Social Youth Workers on Young Refugees" the representatives and participants of last project saw the needs to increase the capacity of social youth workers to improve the life quality and integration of young refugees with new and more partner organizations in European countries. But after the challenges we had during 2020 caused by Coronavirus pandemic we saw that would be difficult to promote the first activity in Portugal and possibly the second in Denmark as we programmed. The representatives of partners organizations after several online meetings still wanted to give more in this partnership to train social youth workers to get more capacity to work for the integration of young refugees based in EU countries. We continue with the same action for this project as way to underpin the purposes of knowledge, intervention, information, awareness-raising, minimization of risks and harm reduction associated with recreation contexts of social and economical impact, seeking to contribute to the social-economical development in a inclusive way associated with the reduction of young refugees exclusion. This project was designed to be developed in 2 stages (one week of mobility of youth workers activity in Almada and one week in Copenhagen) and divided into 3 fundamental axes, as: 1- Competencies of social workers on social and economical learning (e.g. job opportunities, employment, entrepreneurship, communication, youth emancipation, social inclusion and Cohesion) assuring quality criteria in all aspects of inclusion and cooperation. 2- Reflection on social youth workers in promoting entrepreneurial skills and encouraging the active participation and involvement in development of their own youth groups through employment and entrepreneurship. 3- Understanding of social-cultural difference between the partner countries and using learning competencies on social and economical development. The aim was: - To increase the capacity of 34 social youth workers on supporting a person's rights to have a say in their own recovery and building a person's capacity as way to improve the social and economical development for better life quality of young refugees based in Europe. The objectives were: - To develop the quality criteria on policies intervene in social and economical development practices for social youth workers and their contribution to youth organization’s needs, capacity on young refugees integration in European society. - To support immigrant organizations and local associations that work with young refugees to provide better social and economical programme, especially policies that increase the life quality of young refugees. - To train 34 social youth workers that can work properly with young refugees resettlement program for advance fundamental principles of European Systems and opportunities of integration and solidarity. - To increase the availability among social youth workers to work in the social and economical development, within local communities involving and open process for accepting young refugees in their actions. - To increase the social and economical understand on young refugees as way to promote diversity, deepen the values of freedom, tolerance and promotion of human rights and cohesive communities. - To increase the social youth workers motivation to introduce into social responsibility and economical learning by creating conditions to support youth refugees on their own inclusive and fair existing programme in Europe. Although with difficult challenge we faced to implement fully the prmgramme duce the Covid-19 impact we kept qualifying actions as way to stimulate and encourage the generation of work opportunities, social and economical development, as well as promote entrepreneurial vision, with subsequent insertion into the European society of young refugees. The most difficult year we ever faced in our organization and network allowed us to see that due the Covid-19 pandemic we still had to implement the project now matter what take in consideration social-economic constraints of current existing actions aimed at raising the skills of social youth workers with few opportunities in risk situations and working-class unemployment, taking as a reference the current social division of labor in European society.
