Objectives

The phenomenon of bulliyng, observed in all the organisations involved in the project, is linked to a widening of economic and social differences within the members of the community where young people learn, work and live. In Romania we have seen an escalation of aggressive manifestations in or near schools, generated by different attitudes, words that are misinterpreted, material differences between young people, problems related to girl-boy relationships. These manifestations have also worsened by increasing social and economic differences between different categories of people, and young people are the most vulnerable to these manifestations. Bullying/threatening is a systematic and continuous aggressive attempt to undermine and hurt someone based on perceived weaknesses in them, and the effects on the victim are often emotionally and behaviourally devastating. In working with young people at risk, across organisations, I have noticed some common elements: 1. a low level of knowledge about bullying 2. a low level of knowledge about the link between bullying and inclusion (of any kind - social, religious, economic, racial, etc.) 3. lack of reaction to bullying manifestations If these issues are ignored, they will deepen, leading to: - an increase in the number of abused children and young people - an increase in the number of young people who will suffer trauma as a result of the phenomenon - an increase in the number of young people committing acts of violence, which can escalate over time - a growing divide between different categories of people For this project we propose to increase awareness of the phenomenon of bullying and the need to react to these manifestations, especially among those in some form of education (middle school, high school). Young people 1.to know the manifestations of bullying 2.identify the categories of people likely to be subjected to bullying 3.to acquire the necessary skills to manage bullying situations 4.to show empathy towards the victims of bullying 5.to develop creative skills to present and combat this phenomenon The SMART objectives of the project are : 1. to increase the level of knowledge about the phenomenon of bullying for 49 young people 14 - 30 years old (coordinated by 7 leaders) from Croatia, Macedonia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine, for 12 days 2. to raise awareness of the need to react in the presence of a bullying situation for 49 young people 14 - 30 years old (and 7 leaders) from the 7 countries, for 12 days 3. increase creative expression for young people participating in the project through theatre-forum activities
