Objectives

The main need being fulfilled by this project was the development of the local youth communities in rural European regions via non-formal education of active youngsters. These communities are active in many different ways, actively participating in hobby groups, events organized by schools and in public events. Our mentor role means that we are their friends, but in some way also their leaders, but the diversity of the group, the nature of the relationships within the group – between classmates and friends – is rather main colored and the group itself forms its own active members and leaders. The goals were defined in cooperation with our partners and were based on the actual needs of our respective communities: - 30 participants acquired and developed basic models of leadership skills and responsibilities at the end of the project; - 30 participants developed methods of planning and time management, learned to work with their own motivations, visions and plans using non-formal education; - 30 participants acquired practical methods of leading a group and mutual cooperation in learning being involved in all stages of the project; - 30 participants got to know the processes of project management and were able to apply the acquired knowledge in their communities by developing follow-up projects (5 locals and 3 European projects). In this way participants became familiar with the Erasmus+ Program and its goals. Our project supported the main idea of the Erasmus+ in improving the overall level of key attributions and skills of young people in a working experience and encouraged their further development. It relied on active, mutual cooperation between the applicant and school as an institution, and on active service in a youth community, which has a stable foundation for continuing and development of activities of all the projects' stakeholders. Now, the participants has a great potential to continue in developing their acquired skill set and knowledge even after the end of the project. Together with us, youngsters can achieve great things – those things which they believe in, and which they know that they need as a young people.
