Objectives

During the brainstorming meetings before we applied this project, we identified the following problems: 1. The lack of know-how and tools in order to adapt to the new technologies is the main problem for the young people regarding ICT field. This problem has a direct impact on youth accessing to the labor market. 2. Youth’s lack of a solid knowledge foundation, in order to build and expand their ICT abilities. They revealed difficulties in the process of finding relevant materials in order to expand their knowledge. To address problems and offer solutions, the youth from all the partner organisations had designed the project Understanding Patterns in Digital World (UP-DW). UP-DW is as a solution for the young people that aspire to develop their knowledge and tools in order the adapt to the new technologies and to grant access to the labor market. The objectives of this project were: 1. To develop digital competences, knowledge and know-how for 42 youth, including marginalize young people, Romania, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Italy and Netherlands through STEM educational approach, using informal and non-formal working methods. 2. To promote entrepreneurship and sense of initiative through the use of digital competences among youth, in order to develop digital skills based on knowledge and tools, easing their access to the labor market. 3. To develop tools and methods which will enable participants to generate 6 digital magazines during the project, that can be implemented in their country. 4. Promote the sense of civic responsibility, social inclusion and tolerance towards minorities, migrants, refugees, LGBTQ+ community, by presenting news on media channels that enforce the European values, like dignity, tolerance, democracy. 5. To enhance the intercultural competences (such us awareness of local, national and European cultural heritage), personal development and self confidence for the youngsters.
